REINHARDT, Garnett Marie

Age 93, LaHave Islands, Lunenburg County, passed away at home on May 9, 2020, with her husband by her side. Born on Hirtle's Island on June 6, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence and Jennie (Hirtle) Richards. Garnett is survived by her loving husband, Loraine and son, Warren, Burlington, Ontario. She was predeceased by her brothers, Maxwell and Allan Richards. Garnett was a homemaker and delighted entertaining her many friends in her home. She loved going to dances. Later in life, Garnett and Loraine enjoyed travelling across Canada, Europe and most of the United States. Garnett was a member of the LaHave Islands United Church, then the West Dublin United Church and when that closed, West Side United Church in Pentz. Garnett loved to sing and was a choir member of both the LaHave Islands and West Dublin churches. She was a long time member of and later received a life membership from Emerald Rebekah Lodge, West Dublin, of which she was a Past Noble Grand. She was a member of the LaHave Islands Marine Museum. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorial Donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
