RAFUSE, Iris Madelyn

Age 91 of Bridgewater, formerly of Scarsdale, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2019 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Parkdale, she was the daughter of the late Roy and Althea (Awalt) Mosher. Iris was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church of Parkdale/ Maplewood. She was a registered nurse, and later became secretary for Calvin L. Snyder, where she was employed for 60 years. She loved to cook and bake and also loved hunting, fishing, boating and water skiing. Her most important accomplishment, of whom who was very proud, was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are her daughter, Charmaine Wagner (Peter), Scarsdale; sister Melba Sarty, Maplewood; grandchildren, Sue Ellen Murphy (Sean), Hammonds Plains; Scott, Scarsdale; great-grandchildren, Tyler and Norah Murphy, Hammonds Plains. She was predeceased by her brothers, Robert, Harry, and Bill; sisters Kathleen in infancy, and sister Edna. There was no visitation by request. Funeral service was held at Parkdale/ Maplewood Church on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Sam Jess officiated. Private family interment, family flowers only. Donations were to be made to be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church of Barss Corner Community Hall. Arrangements entrusted to R. A. Corkum Home, Wileville.
