BAKER, Marguerite “Marge”

It is with great sadness that the family of Marguerite “Marge” Baker, 88, of Mahone Bay, announce her passing on December 8, 2022. Born July 27, 1934, she was the daughter of Manson and Mildred Langille.

Marge is survived by her sister Florence; children Sandra (Cameron) Goulet, Granville Ferry; Eric (Lynn) Himmelman, Hebbs Cross; Frank (Susan) Himmelman, Chelsea; Shirley Himmelman (Ogilvie), Bridgewater; Gerry Himmelman, Mahone Bay; Ron (Fran) Himmelman, Mahone Bay; Terry Himmelman, BC; stepson Michael (Deb) Baker, Halifax; grandchildren: Erin Goulet, AB; Allison Goulet, AB; Mathew Himmelman, Bridgewater; Ryan Himmelman, Chelsea; Shawn Himmelman, AB; Helen Himmelman, England; Jessica Andrus, Bedford; and Jillian Baker, Kentville; great-grandchildren, and many friends who will miss her deeply.

She was predeceased by her parents, first husband Burton Himmelman and second husband George Baker; infant son and brothers.

As well as raising her seven children, she worked at many things over the years; she cleaned for people, worked at Bill's Store, and worked at Mahone Bay Nursing Home for many years.

Marge was well known for her beautiful flower gardens, her knitting, baking cakes for all occasions, and many, many house parties with family and friends, which she loved to have. Family was always the most important.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Mahone Bay Funeral Home. A family graveside service will be held in Liverpool on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, with a celebration of life being held at a later date.
