Age 80, of Springfield, passed away Sunday, December 25, 2022, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Murray was born in Cherryfield on July 30, 1942, to the late Vernon and Annie (Joudrey) Robar.

Murray is survived by his wife of 51 years, Izilda (Arenburg) Robar; daughter, Crystal Robar and her children, Jaydrien Guest and Tyrone Hangyas; son, Dave Robar and his common-law wife, Natasha Burgoyne; grandchildren, Damien, Dallas and Sylvia Robar; stepdaughters, Christina and Noelle Eisner; sisters, Tammy (David) Demone and Joyce Robar; brother, Raymond (Marlene) Robar; many nieces and nephews.

Murray was predeceased by brother, Lawson Robar and his common-law wife, Alice McKenzie; sister, Joan Eagles; brother-in-law, Ronald Eagles; nephew, Andrew Robar.

Murray spent most of his life in the woods. He loved apple, strawberry and blueberry picking. Murray was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in North River for many years. He worked many years as a contractor for Scotts Paper, Kimberley Clarke, Neenah Paper and Wagners Paper. Murray spent the past few years in a wheelchair due to a lack of mobility. He loved having company, watching his grandkids play, and watching the birds from his window.

Murray will be loved and missed by many. Funeral service was held 2 p.m., Friday, December 30 in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, North River, Rev. Willis Ott officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Donations in Murray’s memory may be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Springfield and District Fire Department or South Shore Regional Hospital.
