WENTZELL, Bonnie Alice

Age 83, New Germany, Lunenburg Co., passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at home. Born in New Germany on June 5, 1937, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Alice (Meisner) Nauss. Bonnie was a dedicated member of Trinity Lutheran Church, New Germany where she was organist for over 50 years and served on many church committees as well as the Lutheran Women’s Association; Bonnie was the accompanist for the monthly Lutheran services at the Rosedale Home for Special Care for many years. Bonnie was well known as an Avon sales representative for countless years where she made many friendships. Bonnie cherished her family and was the loving wife of 65 years to Orie George Wentzell; amazing mother to Trudy (David) Winfield, Graham (Tracey), all of Bridgewater and Dwaine (Melanie), New Germany. She was a beloved grandmother and great-grandmother to Mitchell, Sarah (Ryan), Alexandra (Andras), Becky (Luke) and Jennifer (Dillon); Aria, James, Ayana and Henry. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her stepmother, Evelyn (Veinot) Nauss. There was no visitation by request. A public graveside Service of Remembrance was held on Saturday, October 31, 2020 in Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery, New Germany with Rev. David Whynot officiating. Donations may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or a charity of choice.
