CREASER, Clifford Rodney

2023-11-27

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Clifford Rodney Creaser, 89, of Mason’s Beach Road, Lunenburg, on Monday, November 27, 2023, at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, NS.

Born in Riverport, he was the son of late Wilford and Mildred (Poole) Creaser.

In Cliff’s early years he worked as an electrician in Labrador City, as a bartender at the Lunenburg Tavern, and retired after many years as a long-haul truck driver. One of his most memorable jobs was hauling Christmas trees for Dwight Saunders. Cliff enjoyed a good adventure. He travelled to Spain, New York for two World Series, and attended various football and basketball games across the United States. He had a passion for NASCAR; one of the last races he attended was the Southern 500, in Darlington, SC, where he took family and friends on a trip to remember. If he wasn’t watching sports live or on the TV, he was out boating, bass fishing, and clam digging.

Cliff loved to socialize. His home was the hub for many football & NASCAR parties, card games (money was always involved), and annual Christmas lobster suppers. Over the last few years Cliff would spend time driving around Lunenburg waterfront, and was always up for a good yarn amongst friends. Cliff liked to keep up on the local and global news. He was very knowledgeable and could always figure out a solution to any problem. Cliff was a great friend and would help out whenever you called; though you might have to put up with him laughing at you, but that was all part of Cliff’s charm. As Cliff would say, if you wrote your last cheque and it bounced, you did it right.

Clifford is survived by his son Terry Creaser, grandsons Michael (Krystal) Creaser, Nicholas (Sherrie) Creaser, Stephen Creaser; great-grandchildren, Eli, Payge, and Rosabelle; sister Cindy Creaser, and best friend Coop.

He was predeceased by his parents, wife Rosemarie and sister, Betty.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Highway 3, Lunenburg, and from where visitation will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2023, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A private interment service will follow at Shepherd’s Hill Cemetery, Riverport.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to SHAID Tree Animal Shelter would be appreciated by the family.
