TANNER (Skillin), Dorothy "Dottie" Mae

After a long and full life, it is with sadness that we announce Dottie’s passing on Tuesday, October 5, 2021. Dottie’s death occurred peacefully at Harbour View Haven, Lunenburg.

Born in Digby NS, Dottie moved to Lunenburg in her teens and married Jim Tanner, they lived in the family home in Garden Lots for years.

Dottie began her working career as a clerk at Kinley’s Drug store. She was a member of St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. Over the years, Dottie enjoyed bowling, crocheting, being a member of the Fireman’s Auxillary, visiting/phone calls with family and friends, and care enjoyment of her pets, both dogs and cats.

Funeral arrangements under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, Lunenburg.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation will take place and a private family burial will be at a later date at Hillcrest Cemetery.

We’d like to thank the health care staff of Harbour View Haven who are to be commended for the wonderful caring treatment that they gave Dottie these last few years.
