REDDEN, Rodney Ernest

Age 85, Chester Basin died suddenly and unexpectedly on August 7, 2020 at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Halifax on February 4, 1935, the only son to the late Harold and Edna (Trenholm) Redden. He worked for 30 years at the Halifax Dockyard as a draftsman. He loved his grandchildren, helping others, trains, telling stories, and hunting with his buddies. Rod leaves behind his wife of 59 years, Glenda J Redden, daughter Ellen Mclaughlin, son Merrick (Tracey Russnak-Redden), grandchildren Noah, Gracelyn, and Kayleigh, sister Fay (Harley Frowd), brother-in-law Fred Oxner (Barbara), nephews and nieces. A funeral service was held at Trinity United Church, Mahone Bay on August 14, 2020 with Rev. Lee officiating.
