ASSAF, Dean

Born January 15, 1931, in Mdoukha, Lebanon, passed away May 31, 2017, at the QEII Health Sciences Centre-Infirmary Site. He immigrated to Canada in 1957 and lived most of his life and operated a furniture store in Mahone Bay. For the past 30 years, his home has been in Oakhill where he lived among many friends. He was predeceased by his mother, father and two brothers. He is survived by his wife, Bashira; son, Hany, London, Ont.; his brother, Mohammed Assaf; many nieces and nephews. A service will be held 2 pm, Friday, June 2 in Mahone Funeral Home, Mahone Bay. Burial will be in Park Cemetery, Mahone Bay. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to QEII Health Sciences Centre Foundation; Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or any other charity.
