BROADBENT, Harold

It is with great sadness that the family of Harold Broadbent, 89, of Mahone Bay, announce his passing at Fishermen’s Memorial Hospital in Lunenburg on Thursday, January 13, 2022. Born in Oldham, Lancashire, UK, he was a son of the late Harry and Emily (Stansfield) Broadbent.

Harold immigrated to Canada in 1957 and spent his working career as a machinist for Dominion Glass in Ontario. He will be remembered as a gentle soul.

Harold is survived by his wife, Margaret; sons, Roy and Ian; sister, Tracy (Dave) Repchuk, all of Mahone Bay and a brother, Barry in the UK.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Doreen, Shirley; brothers, Gerald and Roy.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Highway 3, Lunenburg. In keeping with Harold’s wishes there is to be no memorial service. www.sweenyfuneralhome.ca
