BARKSDALE, Avon

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our best friend, Avon Barksdale, on November 16, 2021.

Born January 28, 2012, in Brookfield, NS, Avon was loved by all that had the pleasure of meeting him. He was a real charmer and ladies’ man, and could always put a smile on your face. He enjoyed medium length walks, visits to the dog park to socialize with the humans, and a good nap. Avon also loved a good belly rub and was the best cuddler around.

In his short time on this earth, Avon lived his life to the fullest. He camped at Keji, spent his summers at the beach, rode the Harbour Hopper, hosted many birthday parties and was an avid basketball fan. He enjoyed traveling throughout the Maritimes in a well air-conditioned car and took every opportunity he could to go to the office with his mom.

Avon is survived by his moms, his sisters Stringer and River, and lots of extended family and friends. We would also like to recognize the loving care provided by the staff at Timberlea Animal Hospital during Avon’s last weeks.

In memory of Avon, we ask that you spend time with your loved ones, particularly your furry friends. You never know which walk or cuddle will be your last.
