It is with great sadness that the family of Jamie Maxwell Knickle, 56, of Blue Rocks announce his passing on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater.

Born in Lunenburg, on February 1, 1965, Jamie was the son of Kathryn (Romkey) Knickle of Drumlin Hills, Assisted Living, Bridgewater and formerly of Blue Rocks and the late Charles Maxwell Knickle.

Jamie received his earlier education at Centre Consolidated School. In his earlier years he worked at the IGA and the Foodland in Lunenburg and then started his Mechanic career with Michelin where he worked for over 30 years operating machines on both the Wire side and Rubber side, retiring in 2020.

His love for the sea started at an early age of 15, lobster fishing with his father and he continued up until his passing.

Jamie and Tracy have enjoyed many travels with friends down south or just taking day trips to enjoy the area. They also enjoyed many years of camping with family and friends. Jamie loved being outdoors and preparing for lobster season. He was a dedicated husband to Tracy, beloved father to his two girls, amazing friend to so many and he will be so deeply missed. Jamie loved spending quality time with his Mom and loved the entire family dearly.

Besides his mother, Kathryn, Jamie is survived by his wife, Tracy; daughters, Amber (Thomas) Rafuse of Middlewood and Fayth Knickle (Richie Gallant) of Blue Rocks, brother, Joel (Tanya) Knickle of Back Centre, niece, Jordyn and nephew, Devin.

He was predeceased by his father, Charles Maxwell Knickle and mother-in-law, Marilyn Crook.

Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Highway 3, Lunenburg with a celebration of Jamie's life at a later date.
