ERNST, Frances Ann

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Frances Ann Ernst, 77, of Dartmouth on January 24, 2022, in the Dartmouth General Hospital. Frances was born in Bridgewater, on September 28, 1944, the only child of Duncan and Agnes (Berringer) Spidell.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her step-mother, Alice (Kirkpatrick) Spidell.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, David, daughter, Michele (Greg) Sweet , Porters Lake, NS.; son, Mark Ernst, Enfield, NS.; granddaughters, Rebecca (David) MacGregor, Sophie Ernst, Claire Ernst, grandson, Jamie (Emily) Sweet, great-grandson, Liam MacGregor; aunt, Jean Spidle, Mader’s Cove, and several cousins.

A devout homemaker, Frances focused her life on family, friends, church, arts and crafts.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Highway 3, Lunenburg.

A service to celebrate the life of Frances Ann Ernst, will be held Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at 2 p.m. at the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Highway 3, Lunenburg. Interment to follow the service at the Northwest Cemetery. All welcome to attend.
