RODENHISER, Alice Marie

It is with great sadness that the family of Alice Marie Rodenhiser, 82, of Lunenburg and formerly of Tancook Island, announces her passing on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Harbour View Haven Home for Special Care, Lunenburg. Born in Little Tancook Island, Alice was the daughter of the late Victor and Melitha (Levy) Levy.

Alice enjoyed the simple pleasures of life that was part of living on a small island and her greatest enjoyment was quality times spent with family in her home, handy work with crafts and especially making apple dolls for many of her family and friends. Her love of life, family, friends, and the community at large, were so important to her. She was a golden thread of love spun invisibly through all our hearts and lives.

Alice is survived by her sons, Leonard (Jaunita) Rodenhiser, Dayspring, Dexter, Tancook Island, daughter, Sally Anne Rodenhiser (Paul), Toronto; brother, Gary Levy (Pat), East Chester; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Cecil and a brother, Gerald.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Highway 3, Lunenburg where a memorial service to celebrate Alice’s life will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at 11 a.m., Rev. Renee Clark, officiating. Interment will be at a later date.
