SELIG, David George

2020-07-04

It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of beloved father, grandfather, and friend David George Selig, age 57, of Bakers Settlement, who passed away in the loving arms of his children and brother on July 4, 2020, at the South Shore Regional Hospital. Born in Bridgewater, he was the son of the late James "Keith" and Mona (Whynot) Selig. David grew up in Lake Centre and spent most of his working life as a dedicated Michelin employee. He was your typical "jack-of-all-trades", who loved working on small engines, going fishing, spending time with his family, and enjoyed the simple things in life, such as sitting under the maple tree sipping on a coffee first thing in the morning, with his best friend Buddy (dog). Survived by his daughter, Krista (Dana); son, Scott (Nicole); sisters, Donna (Gary), Elaine (Wally), and Kathy; brothers, Mark (Nancy), and Martin (Sharon); grandchildren, Jade (Scott) and Mona (Krista) who were the lights of his life; and many nieces and nephews. He was loved dearly by his family and friends, and will be deeply missed. A memorial service to celebrate David's life will be held at a later date. We would also like to express our deepest thanks to the Palliative Care nurses, and nurses on the 3rd floor who showed him compassion and care during his final days.
