CARVER, Catherine

Mrs. Catherine Carver, of Calgary, AB (formerly of Caledonia, NS) died peacefully and surrounded by family on September 1, 2018. Catherine was born on March 3, 1946, in Liverpool, NS. Her parents, Charles and Joan (Connor) Cushing were well known residents of Caledonia, Nova Scotia where Catherine spent her youth learning to care for horses and where she met the love of her life, Basil Carver. Basil and Catherine were wed on August 18, 1961. They had four loving children and opened their family home to so many others. They spent the majority of their time together planning how to get their several children to the next hockey practice or soccer match or baseball game or cadet meeting. Above all else, Catherine valued time with her family and was not shy about asking for more grandchildren, of which she had 13. Catherine will be loved and missed by surviving husband, Basil; children: Kevin (Wanda), Dena, John (Rayna), and Ashley (Laurie). A private service was held In Calgary, AB.
