It is with great sadness that the family of Carolyn Margaret Mae Mossman, 82, of Back Centre, announce her passing on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at the home of her brother Clyde (Jean) Mossman in Rhodes Corner.

Born in Blockhouse, she was a daughter of the late Ray and Minnie (Berringer) Mossman.

Carolyn was a long-time employee of National Sea until her retirement.

She loved to cook and entertain. Playing cards was her passion, often attending the card games at St Luke’s Hall. She and her good friend Linda went around the neighbourhood playing with anyone that needed company. Carolyn was an avid gardener and loved to share with family and friends. Carolyn also belonged to a ladies’ bowling league in Lunenburg.

Carolyn is survived by brothers Clyde (Jean), Hughie (Marion); foster sister, Heather Peeler; as well as many nieces and nephews and good friends.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sister Irene, niece, Shirley DeBruin; partners, Milton Tanner, Robert Mosher.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 HHighway 3, Lunenburg. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024, at 11 a.m. at the Old Blockhouse Cemetery, Blockhouse. Rev. Svante Olsen officiating.

The family would like to thank Palliative Care, VON, and Home Care for the wonderful care shown to Carolyn and the support given to the family.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Luke’s Lutheran Church, Rhodes Corner or the Old Blockhouse Cemetery, Blockhouse, would be appreciated by the family.
