SMITH, David Eugene

75, passed away at home on May 29, 2022. Born in Bridgewater on March 4, 1947, he was the son of the late Robert Lemuel and Laverna (Spidell) Smith and a twin brother to his sister Diane Paulette.

David worked for a number of years at National Sea Products Lunenburg, NS and in later years at seasonal jobs including Kirks Forest Products, blueberry harvesting, tree planting and grounds maintenance at South Shore Exhibition.

David had a smile for everyone and a kind heart. He loved a good game of cards, especially when he was the winner. Reading and jigsaw puzzles were also favourite pastimes, and conversing with his friends and neighbours. Those who were closest to David will truly miss him.

David is survived by his brother Charles Smith, Midville Branch; nieces Darlene Wallace, Beavercreek Ohio, USA, Danielle Hynes, Hebbville, Melanie Smith, Midville Branch; nephews Robert Smith, Midville Branch, Steven Smith, Corbeil, ON; Johnny Zinck, Wileville and numerous great nieces and great nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by twin sister Diane Wallace; brothers Leone Smith and Carrol Smith; niece Tina Marie Swan and nephew Cameron Charles Smith.

Cremation has taken place. Family graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., on Friday September 2, 2022, in Midville Branch Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Midville Branch Cemetery or charity of choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to R.A.
