The family of Janice Knickle, 81, is saddened to announce her passing in Bridgewater on November 28, 2023.

Janice was born in Montreal, later moving to Nova Scotia. For several years, she worked as a cleaner at the Bluenose Lodge where she thoroughly enjoyed chatting with tourists from all over the world.

Janice married Vincent Knickle, the love of her life. She happily took on the role as full time homemaker and settled in Garden Lots. Welcoming visitors and extended family, especially children, to her home was a joy for Janice.

Her hobbies included cooking, knitting slippers, and watching game shows on television. Also, Janice was very fond of going to Tim Horton’s to hang out with her regular gang.

Janice is survived by her husband, Vincent Knickle. She is also survived by her sister, Alison Barry (Gene); brothers, Mac Jewett (Barbara), Christopher Jewett (Mary); sister-in-law Audrey Brake (Andy); brothers-in-law Morton Knickle (Phyllis), Rosevelt Knickle; cousins, Alberta Morgan, Larry Morgan (Lois) and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, Grover and Alice (Keswick) Jewett.

Special thanks to the staff at Hillside Pines Home for Special Care for their dedicated care of Janice.

There will be no public funeral service as per Janice’s wishes. A private family interment was held at the First South Cemetery.
