BISHOP, Jason Terry

It is with great sadness that the family of Jason Terry Bishop, 27 of Pinehurst announces his passing on Friday, January 7, 2022, at home.

Born in Lunenburg, Jason was the son of Kirk and Janet (Knox) Bishop of Tanner’s Settlement.

Jason started his seagoing career scalloping with Clearwater and then went on as factory mechanic with the Clam fleet division of Clearwater.

When he wasn’t fishing he enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, snowboarding, 4 wheeling, spending time at the beach, travelling and caring for his beloved dog Gemma. He will always be remembered as a loyal friend who loved his family.

Jason is survived by his wife, Courtney; parents, Kirk and Janet Bishop of Tanner’s Settlement; brother, Kirk John (Pam) Tantallon, paternal grandmother, Violet Bishop of Bridgewater and maternal grandparents, Warren and Marie (Knox) of Hebron, nephew, Ethan and niece, Summer and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jason was predeceased by his brother, Jamie in 2018 and his paternal grandfather, John Bishop and aunt, Laura Lee and a niece, Sophie.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Highway 3, Lunenburg where a private family service was held.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to SHAID Tree Animal Shelter or to a charity of your choice.
