2017-11-08

It is with great sadness that the family of John William England, 35, of First South, announces his passing on Wednesday, November 8, 2017, at home. Born in Guysborough, he was the son of John England (Sr.) and the late Jean England. John had a passion for fishing, which began early at the age of sixteen when he began working alongside Barry Levy. He continued with Barry until Barry passed away, at which time John took over the vessel and began working on his own. He was truly at home on the sea and enjoyed all aspects of the fishing life. John was also very proud of his family and took great pride in taking care of them. He was particularly proud of his children Logan, Liam and Hailey. John is survived by his father John Sr.; fiancé, Arien Keeping; sons, Logan and Liam, step-daughter, Hailey Sheppard; sisters; Sandra, Laura (Jason Anderson), Martin’s Point; brother, Robert (Agnieszka Roland), Halifax; nieces, Savannah, Hailey “Red”, Morgan and Carina. Besides his mother, John was predeceased by his grandparents, Russell and Cora England and William and Elsie Grover. Funeral arrangements are under the direction the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy. 3, Lunenburg. A Private Memorial Service to celebrate John’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Logan and Liam trust fund.
