JESSO, Edward "Eddy"

Edward Joseph Jesso, 70 years old of Baker Settlement, passed away on January 12, 2024, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born on December 18, 1953, at home in Ship Cove, Port au Port, NL, to the late Howard and Alma (Young) Jesso.

Eddy came to Nova Scotia at the age of 13 and he went on the scallop boats until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife Sharon (Veinot) (Tanner) Jesso; son Rodney Jesso; stepson Jonathan (Holly) Tanner; stepdaughter Lisa-Mae (Adam) Eisenhauer; grandson Antonio Jesso; step-grandson Austin Tanner; sisters Mercedes (Roy) Dunn, Kentucky, USA; Patricia (Wayne) Lucas, Alice Benoit, Ann Bullen (Carl Benoit), all of NL; several nieces, nephews and godchildren.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Donald and Rodney Jesso; sister-in-law Patsy Benoit.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A private service will be held in Baker Settlement Cemetery at a later date.
