It is with profound sadness that the family of Paul W. Bruhm Jr., 71 of Mahone Bay, announces his passing on Monday January 22, 2024, at Mahone Nursing Home. Paul endured a difficult battle with Lewy Body dementia. Born on June 9, 1952, in Bridgewater to the late Paul and Margaret (Eisnor) Bruhm.

Paul's career spanned 40 years as a mechanical draftsman working for various local companies. Paul was an accomplished musician, having mastered many musical instruments. His love of music also extended to reading hundreds of books on various artists as well as his vast record collection. Paul was a huge baseball fan, his favourite team being the Boston Red Sox. In his younger years he was also a big hockey fan of the Montreal Canadiens.

Paul is survived by his wife Sharon (Zwicker), sister Cathy Ritcey (Kerry) as well as uncles, aunts, cousins, several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Paul and Margaret Bruhm.

The family would like to thank VON Lunenburg County, VON Day Program, Lunenburg County Home Support, Palliative Care Team Lunenburg County as well as Mahone Nursing Home for their excellent care of Paul during the past year.

A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 25 Phoenix St., Bridgewater, Pastor Paul Jensen officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to SHAID, South Shore Regional Hospital or charity of choice.
