BRIDGEWATER - Ghosts, goblins, ghouls and witches descended on the back parking lot of the Lunenburg County Lifestyle Centre for a trunk-or-treat fundraiser in support of local families in need during the holiday season.

Hosted by Get Crafty with Mik, a Bridgewater-based home-based business that makes and sells craft and activity kits for kids, the Oct. 30 afternoon event raised $1,520; money that will sponsor at least four families by providing them Christmas dinner, gifts and some items of their respective pantries.

During trunk-or-treat on Halloween's eve, trick-or-treaters were able to snag some goodies from decorated vehicle trunks situated around the Cook Road lot, located in the industrial park on the town's west side.
