Spring has sprung at SHAID

The coldest days of 2024 are finally behind us and we are gearing up for another busy kitten season here at our little shelter.

Our second online auction (held March 4-8) was a huge success, thanks to all our community businesses and individuals who donated items to our action, and to all those who supported by bidding on the items!

We are thrilled to announce that we raised $5,757 to use towards our animals' medical expenses and a new dryer for our quarantine room (our old one is barely hanging on by a thread after over 7,000 dry cycles!).

We have more exciting news to share: The annual SHAID Yard Sale is making a comeback! We are starting out smaller, and at a new location this year.

The SHAID Yard Sale will be held Saturday, June 1, and Sunday, June 2, at the Tri District Fire Hall located at 3785 Hwy 325 in Newcombville. We will once again be accepting donations (drop off location and dates will be announced soon!). The fire hall will have their canteen open onsite, with the yard sale happening 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on both days. Admission is just $2 on Saturday and $1 on Sunday; and Sunday will still be the fan-favorite "fill a bag for $5".

The Orange Crew have all completed their dental surgeries and as of the time of writing, Satsuma, Belladonna, and Julius have all gone to their forever homes, with Valencia, Minneola, Cara Cara, Dole, and Tropicana patiently awaiting their perfect people.
