South Shore-St. Margaret’s MP returns to Trudeau’s inner circle

South Shore-St. Margaret's MP Bernadette Jordan returns to the Liberal government's inner circle with a promotion to the Canadian Coast Guard and Fisheries and Oceans cabinet portfolio.

Jordan was sworn back into cabinet during a November 20 ceremony at Rideau Hall in Ottawa.

The 56 year old West Dublin, Lunenburg County resident was minister of rural economic development during the last year of the Trudeau government's mandate.

Jordan secured a second term as local MP, winning the seat by a 7,000-vote margin over the second place Conservatives.

She was first elected in 2015.
