Seaside A Capella, the South Shore's all female A Cappella chorus, has remained buoyant despite the pandemic's turbulent waters that have engulfed many vocal ensembles.

Despite this year's circumstances, the group's membership recruiting efforts have gained the chorus nine prospective and two confirmed new members at last count.

"Pretty good for a chorus that only a few weeks ago was able to resume in-person rehearsals, albeit seriously modified," the group's spokes person, Jennifer MacLeod, commented to LighthouseNOW in an e-mail recently.

Moreover, Seaside A Capella has gone on to create what MacLeod described as "a beautiful virtual chorus video," available on You Tube on the internet. The video features the choral singers in various personal seaside settings independently singing along to the song That's Life. It was written by Dean Kay and Kelly Gordon. Musical direction was provided by Judy Comeau and the video was produced by Sean Derraugh.

According to MacLeod, the video has had almost 4,800 views on the You Tube platform.
