A woman whose breath samples were five times the legal limit is scheduled to appear in Bridgewater Provincial Court on December 12 at 9:30 a.m.
RCMP arrested the woman, 40, on October 19 after they were called to a dirt road off Highway 14 in Sherwood just before 7 p.m. A motorist called after returning to her vehicle only to find a woman in a car blocking her from leaving.
RCMP arrested the 40-year-old woman in the car blocking the other vehicle. She displayed signs of impairment as she sat in her vehicle, police said in a release.
The woman now faces charges for impaired care and control by alcohol and care and control over the legal limit.
"We applaud the woman for calling 911," said Sgt. Mark MacPherson, Lunenburg County District RCMP. "Impaired driving is one of the leading causes of deaths and serious injuries on our roads in Nova Scotia."
