Dahl’s Dispatch: August 30 edition



  • <p>Fire departments on the South shore responded to multiple motor vehicle accidents from August 21 to August 27.</p>

Lunenburg County firefighters answered 29 calls for service and Queens County firefighters answered two calls for service from Monday August 21 to Sunday August 27. Ten of these calls were medicals.

On August 21 at 1:20 p.m., New Germany firefighters responded to a motor vehicle accident in Pinehurst.

At 4:20 p.m., Bridgewater firefighters responded to a vehicle versus. bicycle in Bridgewater.

On August 22 at 12:40 p.m., Western Shore firefighters responded to a car versus deer in Gold River. Chester Basin firefighters were also dispatched.

At 1:35 p.m., Northfield firefighters responded to a vehicle versus tree in Wentzells Lake.

At 3:55 p.m., Chester firefighters responded to a smoke sighting in East River.

At 5:30 p.m., LaHave firefighters responded to a capsized kayak off Moshers Island. Lunenburg firefighters were also dispatched.

On August 23 at 10:10 a.m., Bridgewater firefighters responded to an odour investigation in Bridgewater.

At 5:45 p.m., Lunenburg firefighters responded to a fire alarm sounding in First Peninsula.

On August 24 at 8:28 a.m., Midville firefighters responded to a single vehicle accident in Auburndale.

At 12:58 p.m., Blandford firefighters responded to a smoke sighting in Northwest Cove.

On August 25 at 11:37 a.m., Blockhouse firefighters responded to a report of a single vehicle accident in Blockhouse. Mahone Bay and Martins River firefighters were also dispatched.

At 4:55 p.m., Northfield firefighters responded to several grass fires in Cookville. Oakhill and Bridgewater firefighters also assisted.

On August 26 at 7:23 a.m., Mahone Bay firefighters responded to a single vehicle roll-over in Maders Cove.

At 7:33 a.m., Lunenburg firefighters responded to a jeep on fire in Lunenburg.

On August 27 at 11:32 a.m., Northfield firefighters responded to a vehicle versus bicycle in Wentzells Lake.
