Bridge in Queens County gets $35,000 upgrade

The Minard Brook Bridge on New Grafton Road saw its beams and wooden deck replaced as part of a $35,000 refresh.

Regular maintenance repairs temporarily closed the span to traffic while work took place between late June and mid-July.

A detour was available via Highway 8 in Kempt, and by travelling the Grafton Road in Maitland Bridge.

"The repairs are now complete and the bridge is open to traffic," Deborah Bayer, a spokeswoman for the province's Department of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal, told LighthouseNOW.
