MAHONE BAY - Musique Royale and CecIlia's Retreat will be hosting a unique event titled, Across the Waters, Aug. 18.

Just after 8 p.m. cellist India Gailey and bass clarinetist Je Reilly will perform outdoors and on the water. One will play up at Cecilia's Retreat, the other will play from a boat on the water for about 45 minutes, to one another, as the music intertwines with the sounds of the evening.

"It should be quite ethereal, and so uniquely connected to the beauty of our area," said Janelle Lucyk, artistic and administrative director for Musique Royale, in a news release.

This concert is being offered for free, but if you would like to attend Cecilia's Retreat, you are asked to do so by advance reservation by emailing: barbara.butler@ns.sympatico.ca. Donations are accepted and all will to support the Mahone Bay Islands Conservation Association.

You may also enjoy it from your own chosen setting nearby.
