86 of Bridgewater, passed away July 14, 2017, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Pembroke, NS, she was a daughter of the late Cecil and Violet Wheaton. Ruby loved her family and grandchildren and was good-hearted to all. She loved music, especially George Jones. She was known for having a "heavy Foot’ and the only car made was a Ford. She couldn’t wait to go fishing, but wouldn’t eat any. She loved to make Christmas Cookies, homemade bread and pastries; especially her raisin bread and tea biscuits; they were delicious. Ruby enjoyed going to bingo and loved the bright side of life. She loved a good laugh, played guitar and sang, and taught James to play and sing. She made jams and jellies and always picked them fresh. Ruby will be sadly missed by her companion John Roth, and her canine friend Molly. Surviving are her son James Leopold, Russell Wheaton (Dianne); sisters Janet Hill, Glenda MacDonald; brother Gary Wheaton (Sunny); grandchildren Jamie Leopold, Jerry Leopold (Rose), Marshall Caldwell (Darlene), John Caldwell (Glenna), Charles Caldwell (Susan), Irvin Leopold (Natalie), John Leopold (Debbie), Ronald Leopold (Joan); step-daughter Shirley Caldwell; step-daughter -in law Mary Leopold; many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband Brenton Leopold; second husband LeRoy Bennett; sisters Grace Green, Louise Laffin, Arlene Eady; brothers Ronald Wheaton, James Wheaton; daughter-in-law Elaine Leopold; grand-daughter Naomi Steel; step-son Carl Leopold; step-son-in-law Clarence Caldwell. Memorial Service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday in R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville, Rev. Willis Ott Officiating. Burial in Maple Grove Cemetery, Chelsea. Family flowers only. Memorial Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of the R.A.
