HYNICK, R. Glenwood


72, of Vogler’s Cove, passed away quietly on August 29, 2017, in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool, ending over a year long battle with cancer. Born July 31, 1945, he was the son of the late Maxwell and Dorothy (Teal) Hynick. Glenwood enjoyed his family time, camping, gardening, and yard work. A fisherman for years in the local community, he was known for his hard work and spirit of lending a helping hand. Glenwood enjoyed his retirement and was surrounded by family and friends in his final hours. He is survived by his best friend and devoted wife of 51 years, Donna; sons Curtis (Theressa), John (Leigh); grandchildren Kyle, Deanna and Morgan; great-grandchild Sophia. He is also survived by his loving brothers Fred (Connie), Eugene (Dale); sister Marlene (Bob); several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by infant twin sisters. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. A celebration of life will be held 1:00 pm Friday in R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville, Rev. Vivian Moores Officiating. Interment will be held at a later date. No flowers by request. Memorial Donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
