BECK (Kaulbach), Daisy Marguerite

2023-02-02

Age 91, passed away February 2, 2023, at Harbour View Haven, Lunenburg. Born December 16, 1931, in Conquerall Mills, she was the beloved wife of the late Lawson Beck of Upper Branch.

She is predeceased by her husband Lawson, parents Willie and Mertie (Norman) Kaulbach, sisters Ivy Crawford, Minnie Drennan and brothers Ernest and Emery Kaulbach.

She is survived by daughter Corinne Eisnor (Tony), Chester Basin, three grandchildren, Benjamin, Sarah and Johannah Eisnor and many nieces and nephews.

Daisy was a lifelong, faithful member of the churches at St. James, Conquerall Mills, St. Luke’s, Baker’s Settlement, and Grace Anglican, Chester Basin. She embodied a community spirit and enjoyed many joyful hours as an active member of the congregations, as well as joining the Grace Anglican ladies’ guild and South Shore Seniors Club.

She brightened every room with her smile, laughter, and unconditional kindness. She characterized the gentlest soul and taught us to appreciate the endless beauty of nature and animals. She dedicated herself to loving and supporting her family as a homemaker but was to us an exemplary teacher and nurse. She enjoyed painting in her youth, and played mandolin, guitar, organ, and violin. In later years she fashioned many quilts for her grandchildren with precious love in each stitch. We will so greatly miss her loving strength and care.

The funeral service for Daisy took place at the R.A. Corkum funeral home, Wileville, Tuesday, February 7, Rev. Willis Ott officiating with organist Paul Haughn. Hymns were Abide with me, In the Garden, The Church’s One Foundation and The Lord is My Shepherd. Internment was at Lone Pine cemetery, Upper Branch.
