It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Ethel Marie Hyson, aged 85, on Monday, March 16, 2020, at her home in Simpson's Corner, surrounded by family. Born in Simpson's Corner on March 20, 1934, she was a daughter of the late James and Annetta (Zwicker) Woodworth. She was a member of Emmanuel United Church, Hemford. She is survived by her daughters, Sheila (Michael) Colp, Elfreda Veinot, Peggy Hyson; grandson, Trevor (Victoria Marcott) Colp; and great-grandchildren, Aurora and Max Colp. She is also survived by foster brother, George Chase, and sister-in-law, Ada Woodworth. She was predeceased by her husband, Arthur; son, Llewllyn; son-in-law, Blake Veinot; sister, Julia; brothers John and Charles, and half-brothers, Ernest Woodworth and Harold Zwicker. Her body rested at R A Funeral Home, with a graveside funeral service at Hillside Cemetery in Simpson's Corner on Friday, March 20. Rev. David Lutes officiated with eulogy being given by daughter, Peggy. Pallbearers were Michael and Trevor Colp, Roland Ramey, Dwight and Marlon Woodworth and Nick Zinck. Flowers were from the family. Card of Thanks The family of Ethel Hyson wish to extend their thanks to all who assisted them in any way during their recent bereavement, especially R A Corkum Funeral Home; Rev. Lutes, and pallbearers. Also, for the memorial donations, cards of condolences, phone calls, hall committee and all who attended the visitation and funeral. Everything was greatly appreciated.
