Age 93, Simpsons Corner, Lunenburg County, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday evening, June 7, 2017, at home. Born in Lake Pleasant, she was a daughter of the late Aseph and Hilda (Tufts) Varner. In earlier years, Udivilla was a member of Simpsons Corner Community Hall group, was a member of the former Rebekah Lodge, Hemford and New Germany and enjoyed square dancing with her husband. Family was most important and she loved spending time and sharing special occasions with all of them. She was a foster mother; involved with her church, especially organizing Vacation Bible School and also organized community concerts, suppers and was a trustee of Hillside Cemetery. Udivilla is survived by her daughters, Joan (Wayne) Morton, Kentville; Jean (Jack) Chesley, Spa Springs; Jane Calder (Brian Murray), Halifax; sons, John (Annette) Conrad, Aubrey (Ronna) Conrad, Simpsons Corner; sisters, Pearl Mailman, Lake Pleasant; Phyllis Varner, Bridgewater; brother, Roscoe (Sharon) Varner, Upper Northfield; sister-in-law, Nancy Quinn, Port George; seven grandchildren, as well as great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Randolph Pearl Conrad; sister, Eileen (Ronald) Veinot; brother, Fletcher (Ella) Varner. Private family service with interment will be held in Hillside Cemetery, Simpsons Corner. Rev. Catherine Robar officiating. If so desired, donations in Udivilla’s memory to South Shore Palliative Care, Hillside Cemetery or a charity of choice are welcomed.
