MYLES (Collicutt), Wanda Darlene

With great sadness and heavy hearts, the family of Wanda Darlene (Collicutt) Myles announces her sudden passing at home in Canaan, Lunenburg County on Tuesday, August 1, 2017. Wanda was predeceased by her loving husband, Stanley Myles; her parents, Freeman and Edna Collicutt (Hatt); two sisters and three brothers. She is survived by one aunt, her birthday sister and close friend, Rhoda (Junior) Webber; favorite little brother, Wendell (Jo) Collicutt; step children, Sharyl (Barry) Beatty, Terry (John) Fredricks, Michele (Sean) Gormley and Traci Myles; eight grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Wanda was loved by all those that knew her. She was known for her extraordinary baking skills, kind heart and tremendous love of cats and owls. Wanda’s biggest joy in life was being a nanny to CJ, Abby, Bella and Tyson. She will be deeply missed by her sister in law and best friend, Dotty Kelly (Myles). Wanda is also survived by her second family at Julien’s Bakery, where she worked many years until retirement. Didier, Laura, their children and staff meant the world to Wanda. She loved them dearly, along with many friends that became family over the years. Wanda’s family would like to express sincere thanks to nephew, Darrelle Webber for everything he did following her passing, as well as sister, Rhoda for being a source of strength to her children and grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday, August 6, 2017 at the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 7, 2017, Reverend Gary Manthorne officiating. A celebration of Wanda's life for family and friends will also be held from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, August 12, 2017, at the Little Red Schoolhouse, Canaan. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, The Little Red Schoolhouse, Canaan or S.H.A.I.D. Lunenburg. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Kentville.
