Age 50, of Western Shore, passed away suddenly on September 4, 2022. Born in Berwick, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Charles and Frances “Gayle” Smith.

After high school, Julie went on to become a master hair stylist. She had a long career which she loved and enjoyed. And for the past several years owned her own salon. She adored all of her clients and took great pride in her salon.

Julie loved and appreciated life and showed love to many friends. She was always ready to help someone in need and opened her doors to so many people. She was known for her beautiful kind, spiritual soul. Julie loved horses and had spent a lot of years owning her own and being involved in the equestrian and riding community.

Julie was also known for her funny side and had great sense of humour. She learned not to take things too seriously and she could always be counted on to make you laugh.

Julie leaves behind her loving partner, Robert Rafuse; her precious children son, Jesse Hamm (Martina); daughter, Miranda Hamm; her grandson, Damion Hamm. She is also survived by her stepsons, Zack (Angel) Hamm and Devon (Cortni) Russell and their beautiful families. Besides her children, and grandchildren, she is survived by her brothers, Brenton (Denise) Smith, Ricky Smith, Fred Smith, Kevin (Susan) Smith and sister, Valencia (Paul) Cizek.

Julie is predeceased by her parents, Frederick “Fred” and Frances “Gayle” Smith and her brother, Myles Smith.

This beautiful, loving, kind, and precious soul will be so greatly missed by her partner, her son and daughter (they were her whole life), her grandchildren, siblings and so very many friends.

Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of Sweeny`s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. There will be no viewing or service however a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
