ANCTIL, Robert "Bob" Onesimel

Age 88, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 7, 2023. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Born on June 13, 1935, in Lewiston, Maine, to parents Adrien and Alberta (Roux); Bob had three siblings, sisters Trudy (Drapeau), Pauline (Cote) and brother Lionel.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife Donna (Lane), son Thomas, sister Trudy and sister in-law Patricia Anctil.

Survived by children, Janet, Stephen (Jackie), Jim (Tanya) and stepchildren Gordie (Jessica), Terina (Mark) and Natasha (Stanley) along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Bob’s educational journey began when he graduated from Lewiston High School in 1953 and Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, Iowa in 1961. Bob’s life was defined by his unwavering commitment to his profession as a chiropractor. For over 35 years, he ran successful private practices in Middleton and Bridgewater, NS. He helped countless patients find relief and improved well-being. His dedication and expertise made a lasting impact on the lives he touched. Bob served in various offices of the Nova Scotia Chiropractic Association also several years on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Chiropractic Association and the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College. Bob was involved in many charity events organized by the Lions Club in Nova Scotia where he was a member and New England where Lionel was a member.

Later in life, Bob became one of Jehovah's Witnesses. He helped others learn about our creator, Jehovah, and the wonderful hope for the future, as promised in Psalms 37:29.

In addition to Bob’s love of photography, he possessed incredible talent in woodworking. He built his home on Lake Pernette, NS, and meticulously crafted furniture and intricate beautiful clocks. His skill, patience, and attention to detail were evident in every piece he created, they were true works of art.

Bob and Donna moved to British Columbia in 2007 and lived their remaining golden years there.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to all those who have offered their condolences and support during this difficult time.
