OICKLE, Kevin Ross

It is with great sadness that the family of Kevin Ross Oickle, 56, of Lunenburg, announces his passing on Sunday, April 9, 2017, at South Shore Regional Hospital. Bridgewater. Born in Bridgewater, he was a son of Faye (Oickle) Cruickshank of Lakeside, Halifax County. Over the years Kevin worked with Riverport Seafoods, ABCO Industries, Lunenburg, I.G.A, and with the trucking division of National Sea. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed being in the outdoors, going lobstering with Kent Gerhardt and sportfishing. He also loved animals, especially horses and was known for being a kind hearted, soft spoken man. Besides his mother, Kevin is survived by his brothers, Gordon, Lunenburg; Charles MacInnis, Lakeside, as well as several cousins and long time friend Mary Fogg of Lunenburg. Kevin was predeceased by his grandparents, George Forman and Lyle Agnes Oickle. Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213, Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg and from where a memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 20, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. Gary Carey officiating. Interment to follow in Union Square Cemetery, Union Square. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the South Shore Regional Hospital.
