97, of Bridgewater, formerly of Lockeport, passed away June 12, 2017, in North Queens Nursing Home, Caledonia. Born in Coffinscroft, Shelburne County, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Margaret (Snow) Coffin. During the Second World War, Jean did secretarial duties at HMCS Shelburne. After she was married, she assisted her husband, Norman, in three businesses, the last being N & J Corner Store in Lydgate, which they owned and operated until their retirement. She was a member of I.O.D.E. and Holy Cross Anglican Church ACW in Lockeport and the Kiwanis Club in Bridgewater. Jean enjoyed curling, playing cards and doing various crafts and loved to dance and tell a joke. For over 50 years, she and Norman camped at Ponhook Lodge. She was an avid Blue Jays fan, a fantastic cook and wonderful Mother and friend. Surviving are her daughters Cindy Beazley (Wayne), Betsy Shand (Charles), Toni Swim; son Shaun (Jacquie); grandchildren Ryan, Jana, Maureen, Matthew, Michelle, Jacob; great-grandchildren Caiden, Thatcher, Abby, Julia, Wyatt, Lucas, Logan; several Nieces and Nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Norman; sisters Ethel, Helen; brother Kenneth. Private Family interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a Charity of your choice. Arrangements are under the direction of the R.A.
