RISSER, Catherine Ann

It is with shock and sorrow we announce that our Mom, Catherine Ann Risser, 74 of Bridgewater, passed away at home on Thursday, November 24, 2022. Born in Lunenburg, Cathy was a daughter of the late John and Madeline (Whynacht) Dolimount.

Cathy was a wonderful mother to her two daughters who were the center of her world. She passed that same loving feeling along to the numerous children she looked after over the years that will always remember “Auntie Cathy and Uncle Wayne” with much love and kindness. Over the years she enjoyed gathering with the girls of the Red Hat Society.

Cathy is survived by her daughters, Pamela (Jamie) Bell, Green Bay; Stephanie Risser (Andre Williams), Dartmouth; her fur baby, Abby; sisters, Geraldine Zinck, Bridgewater and Janet Corkum, Lunenburg; sister-in-law, Darlene Crouse (Leo Collins), Sydney. Cathy had a special relationship with her niece, Chelsea and a nephew, Jonathan Crouse, and is survived by several other nieces and nephews and best friend, Carolyn Conrad.

Cathy was predeceased by her loving husband, Wayne on January 7, 2014, along with her parents, John and Madelyn Dolimount; brothers, James Whynacht, Arthur Dolimount, Douglas Dolimount and Bobby Dolimount and two sisters in infancy.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213, Highway 3, Lunenburg, where a memorial service to celebrate Cathy’s life was held on Friday, December 2, 2022, at 2 p.m. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery at a later date.
