Age 32, of Chester Basin, passed away peacefully November 6, 2017, at QEII Victoria General Hospital, with family by her side. Born in Lunenburg, she was a daughter of Lynn and David Countway. She served as a member of the Women’s Committee for the National CEP Union and also Vice President of the local 434. Most recently, she was a Quality Control Administrator at Cherubini Metal Works. She enjoyed travelling and spontaneous adventures. She was an admirable mother to Clara. “Mommy loved to talk, sing, and snuggle.” She touched the hearts of many and will be remembered for her strength, determination, and positivity. Vanessa will be missed by her loving husband, Jacob Croft; daughter, Clara; mother, Lynn; father, David; sister, Natasha (Ausie) Murphy; nephew, Carter; niece, Sadie; grandmother, Kaye; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Vanessa’s life will be held Thursday, November 16 from 2 to 4 pm at Atlantica Oak Island Resort, 36 Treasure Drive, Western Shore.
