It is with great sadness that the family of Wanda Elizabeth Bower-Veinotte, 65 of Garden Lots, announces her passing at home, surrounded by her family on Wednesday, February 15, 2023.

Born in Lunenburg, Wanda was the daughter of the late Carl Vincent and Marion Selena (Toole) Bower.

As a school bus driver, Wanda’s love of kids was evident daily in her patience, staying calm under pressure, making sure of their safety and above all believing in their education.

Wanda’s love of life was her large family who meant the world to her in every way. She cherished their love and supported each and every one, unconditionally and she was the happiest when family were around. Her proudest accomplishment in life were her six children.

Wanda is survived by her partner, Michael Silver; daughters, Dashia (Trevor) Hyson, Garden Lots; Chasidy Veinotte, Corkums Island; Bethany (Joel) Veres of Martin’s River; sons, Matthew (Paula) Veinotte of Halifax; Chansey (Chantal) Veinotte of Ottawa; and Shaymus (Annie) Veinotte of Toronto; son-in-law, Ryan Dorey; grandchildren, Jonah and Bella, Vada and Micah, Lucas and Isaac, Lena and Thomas, Maya and Riley; sister, Monica Wentzell, Garden Lots; brother, Stephen (Marlene) Bower, Lunenburg; sister-in-law, Linda Bower, Saint John, NB; and brother-in-law, Ronald Corkum, Lunenburg; aunt, Gladys Toole and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her daughter-in-law, Linnea Veinotte, brother, Beverly Bower and sister, Cheryl Corkum.

A celebration of Wanda’s life was held on Saturday February 18, 2023, at the Knot Pub, Lunenburg.
