MORRIS, Daisy Mary

It is with great sadness that the family of Daisy Mary Morris, 82, of Blockhouse and formerly of Lunenburg announces her sudden passing on Monday, November 23, 2020 at home. Born in Belleoram, NF, Daisy was the daughter of the late Stanley and Vivian (Dominix) Savoury. In earlier years, Daisy worked at the old Dawson Memorial Hospital and then in later years, worked doing housekeeping for many families in the area. She was a member of St. John’s Anglican Church, Lunenburg. Daisy is survived by her daughter, Vivian (Robert) Risser, Mason’s Beach; sons, Wilfred “Wil” (Ellie) Morris, Blockhouse; Jim Morris, Wileville; George (Melanie) Morris, Hamilton, ON; Gordon Morris, ON; grandchildren, Zac, Janine, Shannon (Codie), Jackie, Samuel, Marissa, Aaron, Mellissa and Johnathan; sisters, Cass (Fred) Hanhams, Lunenburg, Vivian (John) Hillier, Lunenburg; Coleen Kirk Hamilton, ON; Queenie (Mike) Osbourne, Grand Falls, NF; Donna (Gary) Savoury, Edmonton, AB, brothers, Stanley (Sheila) Savoury, D’Escousse, Cape Breton; Vernon Savoury, Edmonton, AB; Charles (Harriette) Savoury, Grand Bank, NF and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Dora, brothers, Wilfred, Frank and a brother, Gerald in infancy. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Highway 3, Lunenburg. At Daisy’s request there will be no memorial service and interment will be held at a later date in Belleoram, NF.
