CURRIE, Donna Juanita

Age 71, of Italy Cross, passed away peacefully October 29, 2017, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Arnold and Vera (DeWitt) Currie. Donna was an active member of the Bridgewater Baptist Church where she had been a member of the choir for many years. Donna served as a Sunday School Teacher, Superintendent, Deacon, as well as serving on various committees. She also played an active role in many other community organizations. Donna is survived by her husband, Gordon Floyd; daughter, Susan (Dennis) Burns; grandchildren, Kyle and Aimee; sisters, Lynne Currie, Marilyn Reid; nieces and nephews, Charlene MacDonald, Nikki Agnew, Shelley Bearisto, Merrill Varner, Debbie Varner as well as many others. She was predeceased by sister, Cathy and brother, Merrill. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday, November 1 in Sweeny’s Funeral Home, Bridgewater. Memorial Service will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, November 2 in Bridgewater Baptist Church, Glen Allan Drive, Bridgewater. Reverend Richard Moore officiating. Family flowers only, please.
