Age 22 of Union Square, passed away suddenly at home on June 17, 2020 after a brief illness. Her family is shocked and deeply saddened by her loss. Hannah was born on July 9, 1997 in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater to her proud parents, Karen and Peter Smith, sister to her brother, Thomas. Hannah attended school in New Germany and later graduated from ICS with a grade 12 diploma. She grew up to be a gentle, beautiful young woman with many passions in life. She enjoyed going on daily trips, going to the lake, walking on the beach, and sitting at night, gazing at the stars. Hannah had a special way with animals and she always enjoyed a trip to the valley for a Chinese buffet. But, the most important thing to her was being at home, being with family. Anyone who knew Hannah knew she was a special soul. She had an immense passion for life and had many goals she wanted to fulfill. Hannah’s memory will be forever cherished by her family, friends and her beloved dog, “Jackson”. There will be a memorial service or celebration of life held for the immediate family at a later date. Donations in Hannah’s memory may be made to the Nova Scotia Mental Health Foundation, the SPCA or a charity of choice.
