59, of Pine Grove, passed away June 16, 2017, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, surrounded by family, following a 13 month battle with cancer. Born in Middleton, Nova Scotia, she was the youngest daughter of the late Frederick and Helena (Downey) Harvey. She is survived by her husband Brian; daughters Alicia (Joe), Kerry-Anne, Brenna (Tyler) and Courtney; grandchildren Bethany, Nick, Benjamin, Jiesheng, Kadelyn, Jesse, Noah, Simon and Adalyn; siblings Allan, Diane and Richard. Married on November 22, 1974, she will be remembered as the loving wife to Brian, who was her first and only love. Their love was strong and deep and together they had four beautiful daughters. She was generous, kind, gentle, loving and very patient. Her spirit will always live on in her children, whom she adored. Her loss was profound. She was the glue that kept everything together. She was a trusted confidant to her husband, children, siblings, neighbours and her many family and friends. She was the love of her entire family’s life. Cheryl was known by all who loved her, for her love of her family. She exemplified motherhood. Cheryl was also like a second mother to many children in Pine Grove. She was known worldwide for being Cheryl from Cheryl’s Crochet, where she designed clothing and patterns for doll collectors. Her work was published in many famous craft magazines, as well as designing for Ashton Drake. There will be no visitation. A private family interment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers or other memorials, Mom would have wanted you to spend time with your family and do something special.
