DURLING, Alice Fern

Age 81, of Barss Corner, Lunenburg Co., passed away on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born in Stanburne, she was a daughter of the late William and Opal (Carver) Joudrey. Surviving are her daughters, Tina Durling (Mike Nelson), Barss Corner; Nita (B. Robert) Durling – Cullen, Bridgewater; Lois (Merle) Deal, West Dalhousie; grandson, Lance Wheeler; sisters, Estella DeLong, Barss Corner; Gladys Wentzell, New Germany; Beulah (Leigh) Dauphinee, West Northfield; Phyllis (Mervin) Ritcey, Baker Settlement; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Owen Durling; sisters, Joyce Oickle, Ruby Varner, Doris Neiley, Hilda Joudrey, Alma Daurie; brothers, Hudson, Garnet, Oakley and Tracy. No visitation at the funeral home by request. A reception to celebrate Alice’s life will be held from 2-4 p.m., Friday, June 16 in Barss Corner Community Hall, Barss Corner.
