TANNER-RISSER, Megan Mae

2021-08-04

"God needed another halo around the sitting throne, he called upon Megan, she needed to come home. Even though we weren’t ready, her wings were fully grown, so she could fly high finding her way back home."

Megan Mae Tanner-Risser had a heart bigger than life itself. She would drop whatever she was doing to help who was in need, she was the kind of girl that once you met her you would never forget her, and you never could. She was and will never be easily forgotten, she always made a point to make sure her mom and dad never had to worry about the things they needed done- as long as she was capable of doing it, they could count on her to get it done and even if she wasn’t capable she would still do her best to get done what they needed, just to ease the stress level of the two of them. Megan loved her parents more than anything in this world and would have moved heaven and earth to make them happy and see them smile. She was an amazing daughter, sister, friend and worker from planting flowers to construction and loved working with her fiancé on his vehicles. There was never a thing too big or small she wouldn’t tackle and accomplish it.

Megan grew up in Italy Cross, NS, born on January 2, 1988 and unexpectedly passed on August 4, 2021 in Bridgewater, NS, the oldest sibling and loving daughter of Danny and Gail Tanner. She is survived by Danielle Tanner and Daniel Tanner (Courtney Carver) and loved Auntie to Athena, Devilyn and Xander Moore and Peyton and Dante Tanner.

She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents Maurice and Edith Tanner, Uncle Jimmy and Junior Tanner and Patty Levy and maternal grandparents Malcolm and Sadie Bush, Terry Bush and Christine Bush.

A service of remembering will be held at a later date, at 682 Italy Cross Road, where Megan grew up and spent most of her years and childhood days, at the family home, where she always had animals and friends and family around. She believed in good people and never judged, doing good for others, it would come back around to you. Sometimes she cared so much about others she forgot to care about herself, always putting others first and herself last.

Megan graduated from Parkview Education Centre and married her high-school sweetheart (Robert Risser) and had two beautiful children, Emily and Jacob Risser, became a widow and engaged (Christopher Hubley) the father of three children (Kia, Mia and Dakota Hubley) whom she loved as her own and the man of her dreams who she loved more than she ever thought she could. Megan was so happy and full of life and had so many plans, always dreaming and hoping the best is yet to come. She had the soul of a fighter and the spirit of a survivor.

Until We Meet Again! Sadly Missed, Forever Loved and Never Forgotten.

Those who wish to remember Megan in a special way, can bring flowers or donation to her parents Gail and Danny Tanner, on behalf of her two beautiful children, Emily and Jacob Risser.
